BLUE GILL:   01 – 25 – 2015   Day 2.

Our pattern is staying the same, for now.

This happy smilling couple drove up all the way from Indiana to enjoy Northern Wisconsin and some fishing for 2 days, what a enjoyable, polite, friendly couple, the best. More people supporting Vilas county Wisconsin. Gill fishing only (for now) produced these quality fish. All our ice houses are located on public lakes and there are some other peoples ice houses on some of the lakes we are also located at but, having people drill holes right next to your ice house gets old. Having multiple ice houses placed on several lakes is working well. The smaller public lakes have no crowds, actually, nobody at all but us. Depending what we are fishing for, this is great.

Gills came from shallow water around 6 ft and in the weeds from this small lake. Ice jigs and wax worms is all that is needed, actually the glow jig does help for more consecutive strikes.
