Crappie during the summer time are an easy catch when using these basic steps. #1 Make sure the lake has a high population of Crappie. #2 Locating the shallow section of the lake. #3 Find the under water wooded locations, weedy locations and the mud flat locations in the shallow sections of this lake. Even with pleasure boats moving all around these lakes all summer long, we still produce Crappie, all day long.

These fish were caught in the under water wood piles, casting to them with plastic baits and retrieving them quickly back to the boat worked the best on this day.
