First on this fishing report,

Many thanks to all of you for your continued support.

We are organized for the 2022 open water season.

Perch are still being produced on the mud flats (once you find them it is a bonanza) but also on deep weed lines. Wax worms, tiny crappie minnows and certain plastics are leading the way.

Gills are all over the board for productivity, some in the weeds some deep and some suspended next to a deep shelf directly next to the shore line, depending what lake you are fishing.

May and June are fully booked in advance, a few openings in July and August.

Crappie are also suspended but, some may be caught in brush piles and weeds and how deep depends how deep the location you are fishing.

Guiding and spending a lot more time on my home lakes and Winchester WI. lakes this open water season.

A much larger warm spell is in the fore cast for early next week.
