Another fantastic client. Nicest guy you could ever work for.

Working on my home lake (Van Vliet Lake) was very productive for this client for 2 days. Several fish caught and several released. Yesterday, we noticed a man continuously looking thru his window watching us for several hours on the east shoreline of Van Vliet Lake, Vilas County WI. and I waved hello a few times (being friendly) as we went by his location several times.

All fish were caught within 500 ft of his dock and we also trolled all over the lake a 1/2 mile away from his location again, this was yesterday and the day before.  From the island in front of the public boat landing down the east shore line for about a 1/4 mile produced well, yesterday for a 1/2 day Guiding, we only produced 1 Muskie.

Trolling was the answer.  Depth control, boat speed, lure selection and color is critical and no, Orange is not the correct color for us.  A more neutral color is preferred, for us. We tried Orange but had no luck until we switched to a lighter color despite what certain persons are saying.

As always, stay positive, think clearly, do not listen to negative talk and do not listen to negative people.
