CRAPPIE TODAY:        Day 2.

These guests wanted to try Crappie and we went straight to a good Crappie lake and produced the fish you see above, the smallest is 11-1/2 inches.

These fish were all caught in 30 ft of water on the bottom of the lake with minnows. A very slow presentation was mandatory. We would mark fish and then use marker buoys to mark the drift location and if we went to fast, “no strikes”. We then went right back over the same fish with myself just working the drift and not fishing and concentrating on boat control only and then, my clients began boating these giant Crappie. “Slow”, was the critical concept to there success. Yes, it was very cold today But patience paid off.
