BLUE GILL:   01 – 21 – 2015    Day 1.

Moving on to another lake with Gill fishing only (for now) produced these quality fish. Having multiple ice houses placed on several lakes is working well.The smaller lakes have no crowds, actually, nobody at all but us.

Gills came from shallow water around 6 ft and in the weeds from this small lake. The dark water in this small lake keep the fish shallow, for now and then suspended as the winter moves along. Ice jigs and wax worms is all that is needed, actually the glow jig does help for more consecutive strikes.
