I am several days behind in posting reports but, had to share this epic event of today.

I am very sorry for the vertical position of this fish photo and yes it is alive and well and no, there will not be, delayed mortality.

This monster is the largest ever brought into my boat and that started back in the early 1970’s. This huge fish was very carefully photoed and released within a few short seconds. An epic event. Caught on a jig with a plastic trailer and took several minutes from hook set to landing net.

This beast did everything possible to escape, from diving and hitting the trolling motor, jumping, then diving under the boat and splashing on the complete opposite side of the boat and then down into the weeds, up on the surface and then back to the end of the boat, unreal,  then came the first heart pounding miss with the net and then she swam head first right into the bag. We  unhooked the fish while it was still in the water, the client lifted the fish up I took 1 photo and the fish was released in less than 10 seconds. A true monster.

We were in the weeds and less than 12 ft of water, We saw this beast for the last 3 years, at the same water temperature, in the same area but, we were unable to hook her untill today.

This public, shallow weedy lake has produced both of my largest Musky to date, AWESOME, no other words to describe this event.
