Just got in. After the rain subsided we ended the 1/2 day outing. No heavy rain but that long slow steady rain. For me, it is double Gore-tex rains coats and double Gore-tex rain pants. The fish were still biting. Starting early every day does have its advantages. All fish are still be caught on minnows for us. Depending on the lake you are working, this will depend on your active location. We do use certain colors, certain types of bait, certain depths, certain speed for the presentation, certain structure locations remember, I guide multiple specie of fish at multiple lakes, small rivers and Flowages. Today was in a large lake with very clear water, visibility down to 12 ft.Tomorrow I know, due to customer request we will be fishing a dark coffee colored lake and you will see the Walleye coloration difference from that lake.
