As most opening weekends, lots and lots of Walleye with fast caught limits and very happy clients who are supporting our local communities with there lodging, gas, restaurants and there shopping of the local businesses. No big ones this weekend but, these clients are also enjoying a few fresh Walleye for a few dinners. Also they enjoyed the sheer Beauty of the North Woods of Northern Wisconsin, as we all do. The basic jig and minnow is our best choice as most people are using. Water temps vary depending where you are fishing. We were in 50 degree water at 6 AM. Most of our fish were caught in 6 to 15 ft deep and the bites continue to be very aggressive although, we did work the baits slowly and this will be important the next few days until the water temps rise. We worked current areas and we will continue this for the next few days. This May and June of 2017 are completely booked for guiding, openings in July.
