As all know who were on the water today the wind was going strong around noonish. Snow was flying, waves were pounding and the Musky are continuing to bite. As this report is being typed the wind has died off.
My hat goes off to this 9 year old, his Mother and his Aunt.
Now, make no mistake about it, this 9 year old set the hook by himself and reeled in his first time ever Musky on his own. An up coming outdoors man in the making.
An awesome job. Extra effort by this young man paid off big time. Braving the extreme cold temps, wind and working hard, paid off.
Suckers are and have been paving the way for most Musky caught although, on the White fish and Cisco Lakes, the Grandma bait is also working well, as are suckers. This fish was caught on a sucker and my home maid quick strike rig along side a deep rock bar trolling very slowly.
As always, stay positive, think clearly, do not listen to negative talk and do not listen to negative people.
