May 17, 2020 with friends.

As many, many people continue fishing with family and friends (maintaining social distancing) is still and will remain extremely important to all of us.

Yesterday with friends, was a fantastic spring day with light to mild winds and a warm 64 degree air temp where we were, in Vilas county WI. The fish were bitting and the strike was firm and definite. A slow presentation was still mandatory for us. A few Crappie are also in the shallows now but, this will increase dramatically during the next 8 days.

As previously mentioned, Minnows are best for us although, some fish are being caught on Crawlers and Leeches during this cold water period. Is the water temp important or not well, just ask any Walleye, Crappie or Bass pro and you better pull up a chair because, there going to give you a long lecture on how water temp truly does affect fish behavior.

As we continue, the next several days are going to change everything with the warm temps that are currently forecast. Water temps are going to rise rapidly during the on coming week and weekend.

As always, stay positive think clearly, do not listen to negative talk and do not listen to negative people.

God Bless

John Andrew
