Trolling is still producing and as many, many people have discovered, this method of fishing can be very productive for the bigger fish as well as live bait.
Several lakes across Wisconsin and several other states have been doing well with trolling for years and it is finally catching on up North the last few years.
Lots of factors are involved for being consistent such as, depth control, speed of your boat, color preference of the lure, the type of lure, your trolling location on the body of water that you are fishing, is the water clarity tea colored, stained dark or is it clear water?
Go out and start experimenting and you to will be rewarded.
The cold weather of recent has pushed the Walleye deeper on certain lakes but, trolling still works and works well.
Live bait will become the best choice very soon but, fishing at twilight is no longer the important option, Mid day trolling has been working for many, many weeks, depending what Lake, Flowage and or River you have been fishing.
