The basics are working every where. 2lb test for me, not just Crappie minnows but, small Crappie minnows for Perch and Crappie and again, depending what what lake you are on.

Color can make a big difference as I have reported the last several years.

For us, a # 6 long shank thin wire hook, bronze in color with a small split shot 10 inches above the hook for the Perch and Crappie.

A few kept for to nights Friday fry.
