These Big Perch were caught on the mud flats using jigs and minnows, We were drifting slowly and working the baits slowly and yes, color did make a difference for the jig head. A lot of people ask me, how can color make that big of a difference, well, ask any Musky guide, Bass Pro or Walleye pro and be prepared for a long talk, because this pro will go on, on and on how important color is, even in conjunction with live bait. You will need to experiment to find the best color in the water environment you are fishing.
