WALLEYE, SMALLMOUTH BASS:

08 – 29- 13

This day we caught several Walleye on Crawlers, Leeches and Minnows. We used a jig all day long and started in a deep current area and produced 5 small Walleye. We then moved on to the main lake basin and only could pull some more Bass. When we went to the weeds were we then started producing more Walleye and on the deep ledge with out the weeds we produced several big Perch and some more Smallmouth Bass.

Color did make a difference, we did get a couple of Walleye out of the brush piles but these fish were tight to the wood and you had to vertical fish or no strikes.
