Picked up my guest in front of the grocery store at 10 this AM and we sat and listened to some short bald guy in brown and tan clothes telling jokes to 2 locals in front of the hardware store, funny guy.           Anyway,  the Crappie were biting deep for us around 15 ft and on a drop off. Water temp was at 53 degrees where we were.     We tried the deep wood piles with little or no success. Small minnows worked best. Several drop offs related to the deep wood piles were producing well. A slow retrieve was best, to fast and we missed the strikes. Also the size of the minnow did seem to matter today, big fatheads got no strikes and when we switched to Crappie minnows we got the results you see below.    Some lakes have been biting, where we were today this is how we did it.    This May and June of 2017 are completely booked for guiding, openings in July.
