What a beautiful morning, the sun is glistening off the fresh 2 inches of snow and the Big Hemlocks, Pines and Fur trees look like giant covered ice cream cones, Awesome. Another big warm spell coming this weekend with temps forecast in the low 50’s. Our tracks are the only tracks on Record lake.

As the bite continues to be good, for us, we are still working the deep flats. Minnows are best for the bigger fish although, wax worms produce faster. The color of our ice jig also does make a difference and yes, we catch our fish on several colors but a certain 1 or 2 colors work the best. After trying several colors and we see the fish biting the colored jig head first, we then stick with that color. The correct size of the jig also creates a positive influence on the bite.

This Father and son caught big Perch after big Perch and will remember there outing for years to come. Great people,  great fishing and the great North Woods of Northern Wisconsin, Awesome.

Thank you to all who keep calling for guiding.  I am very sorry for turning so many people away, I am completely booked thru March 10 and that concludes my ice season.  May and June of 2017 are completely booked, openings in July.
