PERCH :    Day # 2    01 – 07 – 2015

Ok, its cold, but do not think for one minute the fish are not biting. As we continue fishing small lakes and away from the crowds, the results are very good even during these brutally cold days, which is not forecasted to warm up untill next Wednesday.

The pattern for our Perch bite is deep, due to the type of lake we are fishing and weather conditions. Most all lakes have catchable Perch, some people are catching them shallow, some are in the weeds, some are on the flats our Perch as well as several other people are catching them down over 30 ft. Crappie minnows  work well, Wax worms also and recently pieces of Crawler are producing the best. There are times when color of your hook plays an important roll in the quantity you catch and this depends on each individual water color you are fishing and it does make a big difference.
