WALLEYE: TODAY.
This bright blue bird day was perfect for our Walleye fishing, this father and daughter were very patient and worked hard all day long, they produced several Walleye right thru the day, no big ones but #’rs of fish were caught.
A jig and minnow were used, we started with a heavy jig and missed the first 3 strikes, then we went to a light jig and stinger hook and we started producing fish. This combination is very productive in early fall and mid summer. As the evening temps stay cool and the Walleye (on some lakes) continue going deeper, we will continue to pursue them. The weed bite is still going strong but we are working the drop offs and ledges.
