As ice out is rapidly approaching (5 or 5 1/2 weeks should do it) most rivers in northern WI. are and or will be open, very soon and well before the lakes. As of today the weather is forecast to be in the mid 40’s for a day or 2 next week.

The Crappie, Gill and Perch bite is still going strong, lite line, wax worms, tiny Crappie Minnows and or small plastics and yes, color is important.

Suspended fish and deep wood seems to be leading the location with a few off the mud flats.

May is fully booked, June is 95 % booked, July and August 70 %booked, September is 50% booked, October and November is in “my opinion” the best daytime Walleye and Muskie fishing of the year, well, May is maybe the best for Walleye and the 5th of June to the 4rth of July for Musky, depending what body of water your on.
