Well it is official, the ice is completely out on my lake, as these photos of a few short minutes ago were taken.

Saw 3 Kayakers earlier today and a Canoer just passed next to my shore line 10 minutes ago. What a fast change from winter.

Some years ago we saw this at the same time of year. A few of the bigger lakes will take a little longer.

As of today, some open water and black ice is common on most lakes in Vilas County WI..

Many people have been fishing the Wisconsin river for a few weeks, as well as other smaller rivers.
